Snail-mails and Deep Sea Predators

I love receiving snail-mails, even bills. It gets me all worked up and excited.

Perhaps it's because I spend so much time in front of the computer that I subconsciously need some sort of physical evidence ; something to convince myself that I'm still part of the real world.

Or maybe it's because e-mails are just so convenient these days that when someone go through all the trouble just to post me something, it makes me feel honoured. I'm worth the trouble. I'm special.

Or maybe it's because I love violently ripping open a parcel or slicing open an envelope with a sharp sharp knife. Smooth and lethal, like slitting someone's throat.

Or simply because, like any other old-fashioned conservative fart, I just love receiving mail.

....

OK. Now that the crap is all out, I'll go straight to what I initially intended to post about. I received the long awaited postage. Just in time for the weekends. Perfect.

The envelope was well padded, with the top opening sealed with a crime-scene-ribbon-like sticker that read "HANDLE WITH CARE". Somehow, that cracked me up.

Full of glee, I didn't realise my hand reaching for the Swiss Army knife.

A flick of the blade, a firm satisfying swipe across, and the Beast was released.

I freed it from it's bubble wraps, and held it in my hand. As I examined it with growing hunger, it glared back at me with similar intensions ......
